Blackberry Souls

​I went blackberry picking at the weekend, which is my kind of fun! And I channelled a message while I was there, 'cos that's just how I roll I thought I would share it with you, because it is both random and profound at the same time.

"Blackberries are like Souls. There are red and green blackberries, and they are just not ready yet. They need to grow and ripen. It's not time to pick those, so leave them where they are. Then there are the blackberries that may look like they are ready. They are the right colour, but when you try to pick them, they turn to mush in your hand. So while they might look right, they aren't really a good fit for the crumble. We need to pick the blackberries that are not only the right colour, but also hold their shape when we pick them. These are the perfect kind of blackberry for our crumbles! They have grown, they are ripe, they have strength, and are lovely and sweet. These are the blackberries we need in our lives"
